North Brunswick has gone 8-2 against Ashley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Scorpions will head out to square off against the Screaming Eagle at 7:00 p.m. Ashley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on North Brunswick, who comes in off a win.

North Brunswick is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down West Brunswick 42-24 on Friday. The Scorpions haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kane Jenrette continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 174 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Whiters, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Ashley didn't have quite enough to beat Laney last Friday and fell 21-18. Despite 85 more yards than the Buccaneers, the Screaming Eagle couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

North Brunswick will need to focus on slowing down Bryson Lovelace, one of several Ashley players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 67 yards and a pair of scores. Lovelace has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Ashley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for North Brunswick, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jenrette and Lovelace. Jenrette just won't slow down this season and has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 142.3 rushing yards per game. Lovelace has been a dominant force too and has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 134.2 rushing yards per game.

North Brunswick might still be hurting after the 35-14 loss they got from Ashley in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Scorpions, Jaelan Brewington (who rushed for 179 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
