Softball Recap: Ogden Tigers vs. South Summit Wildcats

Ogden extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-16 in the process. They lost 13-2 to the South Summit Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-7 on April 11th.

Ogden saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Baelee Ulm, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Ari Ryland also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

As for South Summit, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The result was nothing new for South Summit, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

On South Summit's side, Toshlyn Louder made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Louder has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.
