Softball Game Preview: Benjamin Logan Raiders vs. Riverside Pirates

The Benjamin Logan Raiders will take on the Riverside Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Benjamin Logan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Kenton Ridge, who was ranked ninth at the time (Benjamin Logan was ranked 18th). The Raiders lost 10-0 to the Cougars on Thursday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Milton-Union hit Riverside with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pirates came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-2.

Riverside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilee Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Benjamin Logan, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
