Cross County had won 12 straight games and Wyatt Hengelfelt did his part to make it 13 on Saturday. The Cross County Cougars took their game with ease, bagging a 64-37 victory over the High Plains Storm thanks in part to Hengelfelt, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Brock Allen, who posted three points and 11 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played.

Cross County pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for High Plains, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

Cross County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-25 victory against East Butler on the 11th. As for High Plains, they will square off against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
