Basketball Recap: Wall Piles Up the Points Against Faith

Wall hadn't done well against Faith recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Wall Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Faith Longhorns 68-35. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Wall's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmet Dinger, who went 8 of 19 en route to 19 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Teelan Kjerstad, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points along with six assists and five steals.

Wall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests.

Wall's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Faith, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Wall will square off against Timber Lake at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Faith, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-56 loss against Hettinger/Scranton on the 11th.
