Templeton hadn't done well against Coalinga recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles really took it to the Horned Toads for the full four quarters, racking up a 47-14 win. The Eagles not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 20, 2024 (when they won 52-0).

Templeton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colby Sims, who picked up 177 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Sims a new career-high. Tyler Cunningham was in the mix too, providing Templeton with two scores.

Coalinga's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyson Alvarado, who rushed for 77 yards and one TD, and Gracin Redding, who rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown.

Templeton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Coalinga, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Templeton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 35-0 win against Gonzales on the 12th. As for Coalinga, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 62-22 victory against Sierra Pacific on the 11th.
