Baseball Game Preview: Fisher Gators vs. Thomas Jefferson

The Fisher Gators will head out on the road to challenge Thomas Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Fisher came up short against Haynes Academy on Wednesday, falling 10-2.

Fisher saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haiden Martin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Jacob Bourgeois also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to Archbishop Shaw.

Thomas Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Fisher, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8-1 record this season.

Everything went Fisher's way against Thomas Jefferson in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Fisher made off with a 13-3 win. Do the Gators have another victory up their sleeve, or will Thomas Jefferson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
