Volleyball Recap: Beacon Comes Up Short

Beacon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Goldbacks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Monday.

Beacon's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Newburgh Free Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Beacon has already played their next matchup (against Port Jervis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Newburgh Free Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Marlboro Central on the 6th.
