Baseball Recap: High Tech Mesa Takes a Loss

High Tech Mesa dropped their record down to 5-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the High Tech NC Raptor by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raptor this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Wednesday.

As for High Tech NC, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.

For High Tech NC's part, Aiden Butler was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Butler has posted since back in March.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Tech Mesa will challenge Ocean View Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunder's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for High Tech NC, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Victory Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m.
