Brownstown Central beats Indianapolis Scecina Memorial for their fourth straight win

The Brownstown Central Braves had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at home to the tune of 56-27. The result was nothing new for Brownstown Central, who have now won eight matches by 27 points or more so far this season.

Brownstown Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lane Zike out in front who rushed for 142 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah J sheffer, who threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes.

Loss or not, Indianapolis Scecina Memorial got some senior leadership from David Mendez who threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns and Keegan Ray who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns. That's the first time this season that Ray posted 100 or more yards.

Brownstown Central's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points per game. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Brownstown Central will head out on the road to face off against Triton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Triton Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 302 points over their last seven matchups. Indianapolis Scecina Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
