Soccer Recap: Westmoreland Comes Up Short

Westmoreland lost against King William back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 9-1. That's two games in a row now that Westmoreland have lost by exactly eight goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Westmoreland and nudges their season record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-2 West Point (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 77.4% over those games). As for King William, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Westmoreland will square off against Northumberland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westmoreland are facing Northumberland at the right time seeing as Northumberland are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for King William, they will venture away from home to face off against West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Point will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something King William surely won't give up without a fight.
