Basketball Game Preview: Sunnyside Wildcats vs. Sanger Apaches

The Sunnyside Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Sanger Apaches at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sunnyside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Saturday, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Sunnyside made off with a 54-53 victory over Centennial.

Meanwhile, Sanger narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Hoover 53-50.

Sunnyside is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Sanger, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.

Sunnyside came out on top in a nail-biter against Sanger in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, sneaking past 52-50. Does Sunnyside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sanger turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
