Volleyball Recap: Golden Gate Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Golden Gate can now relate to. They fell just short of the Naples Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Golden Gate was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Naples work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-12, 21-25, 15-25, 15-12.

Golden Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Naples, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.

Golden Gate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Naples, they will head out on the road to square off against Gulf Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
