Softball Game Preview: Meadowcreek Mustangs vs. Berkmar Patriots

The Meadowcreek Mustangs are taking a road trip to face off against the Berkmar Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meadowcreek has given up an average of 15.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meadowcreek managed to slip by Osborne the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs lost 28-8 to the Cardinals on Monday.

Meadowcreek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adilene Hidlago, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another was Lakea Fields, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Berkmar fell victim to Discovery and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 23-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meadowcreek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Berkmar, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Meadowcreek took their victory against Berkmar when the teams last played last Monday by a conclusive 26-16 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
