Volleyball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short

Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Bentley Phoenix. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

While Valley Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bentley's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 26-24.

Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Bentley, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-11.

Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bentley, they will head out to face off against Albany at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Phoenix surely won't give up without a fight.
