Baseball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the Decatur Heritage Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-2 defeat on Tuesday.

Lexington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Gamble, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Gamble has posted since back in February of 2024.

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will venture away from home to challenge Lawrence County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, they will challenge Westminster Christian Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
