Softball Recap: Ganesha's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ganesha proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Diamond Ranch Panthers 6-5. The win was familiar territory for the Giants, who have now won four matches in a row.

Kalena Lemus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Ganesha got a big performance out of Lacy VanTuinen, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Nevaeh Wilson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

VanTuinen wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Ganesha kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for Ganesha: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.2.

Ganesha's record now sits at 7-4-1. As for Diamond Ranch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Coming up, Ganesha will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgewood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ganesha is facing Edgewood at the right time seeing as Edgewood is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Diamond Ranch, they will head out to face off against Don Lugo at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
