Basketball Recap: Franklin Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Franklin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 71-49 margin over the Indian Trail Hawks on Friday. Given the Sabers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Hawks are ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Indian Trail lost, don't look at Caden Williams. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 10 en route to 14 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Bolton, who posted nine points.

Franklin pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Indian Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Franklin will head out to face off against Racine Horlick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Indian Trail, they will welcome Racine Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Racine Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Indian Trail likes a good challenge.
