Volleyball Recap: Jefferson's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jefferson entered their tilt with Hawkins on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hawks. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Hawks on their court since September 2, 2016.

Jefferson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-22, 16-14.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will square off against Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hawkins, they will head out to take on Quitman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
