Preview: P.K. Yonge Blue Wave vs. Forest Wildcats

P.K. Yonge has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Forest Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. P.K. Yonge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 178 points over their last three contests.

Last Tuesday, P.K. Yonge strolled past Newberry with points to spare, taking the game 57-42.

Ashlyn Young continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. Young is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Summer Barnett, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Forest suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Dunnellon by a score of 51-49.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ja'Niyah McCoy, who scored 21 points. Taleah Jones was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.

P.K. Yonge's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Everything came up roses for P.K. Yonge against Forest when the teams last played back in November of 2018 as the team secured a 62-27 win. With P.K. Yonge ahead 31-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.
