Football Recap: Miles Bulldogs vs. Johnson City Eagles
If Miles was riding high fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Sterling City last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs had to suffer through a 49-6 loss at the hands of the Johnson City Eagles. The Bulldogs were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Johnson City found their leader in sophomore Heston Hohenberger, who rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 59 receiving yards. Hohenberger's longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.
Miles now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Johnson City, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Looking ahead, Miles will face off against Eldorado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Johnson City, they will take on Comfort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 973 yards in their previous games.
