Softball Recap: Erath Comes Up Short

Erath lost to Loreauville back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcats came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-1. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Erath saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elise Mencacci, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Maddie Guilbeaux, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Erath's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Loreauville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Erath will welcome Iota at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Loreauville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lafayette Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
