Basketball Recap: Ingleside Comes Up Short

Ingleside has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost 60-39 to the Rockport-Fulton Pirates on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly 21 points.

Rockport-Fulton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Broder, who went 5 of 6 en route to 13 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Broder a new career-high in rebounds. Hudson King was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Ingleside's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Rockport-Fulton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-15.

Ingleside will venture away from home to face off against Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jones knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Ingleside likes a good challenge. As for Rockport-Fulton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Calhoun at 7:30 p.m.
