Basketball Recap: Portledge Comes Up Short

Portledge was the 59-41 winner over Stony Brook when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Portledge Panthers fell 66-53 to the Stony Brook Bears on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Bears are ranked 101st).

Portledge's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-9. As for Stony Brook, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

As of now, neither Portledge nor Stony Brook have any future games scheduled.
