Volleyball Recap: Centralia Comes Up Short

Centralia lost against Hallsville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers came up short against the Indians, falling 3-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Centralia was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-12.

When it comes to explaining why Centralia lost, don't look at Ryenn Gordon. Despite the final result, she had 12 kills. Gordon has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 46 times she's played.

Among those leading the charge was Makenzie Lucas, who had 14 digs and five assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September.

Centralia's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19-2. As for Hallsville, their win bumped their record up to 18-11-3.

Centralia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hallsville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Father Tolton on the 23rd.
