Basketball Recap: Alleluia Community Falls Short of the Habersham School in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alleluia Community can now relate to. They fell 58-49 to The Habersham School Patriots on Friday. The Angels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 68-65.

The Habersham School was led to victory by Daniil Phillips and Caleb Parker. Phillips posted 21 points and four steals, while Parker almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitt Sullivan, who scored 14 points and five rebounds.

Alleluia Community's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for The Habersham School, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Alleluia Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for The Habersham School, they have already played their next game, a 50-44 loss against Notre Dame Academy on the 18th.
