Basketball Game Preview: Patrick County Cougars vs. James River Knights

The Patrick County Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the James River Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Patrick County is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

On Friday, Patrick County came up short against Glenvar and fell 63-53.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for James River, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They took down Roanoke Valley Christian 48-29 on Saturday.

Patrick County's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for James River, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Patrick County was able to grind out a solid win over James River in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, winning 67-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
