Basketball Game Preview: Schaumburg Christian Conquerors vs. South Beloit Sobos

The Schaumburg Christian Conquerors will take on the South Beloit Sobos in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Monday at. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Schaumburg Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Westminster Christian, but they still walked away with a 39-34 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Conquerors.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Schaumburg Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Giada Falco, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Falco has scored at least a third of Schaumburg Christian's points. Stephanie Tenuto was another key player, putting up four points and 11 steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Beloit). Everything went their way against Christian Life on Monday as South Beloit made off with a 52-30 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Sobos have posted against the Eagles since February 13, 2021.

The win got Schaumburg Christian back to even at 3-3. As for South Beloit, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.
