Softball Game Preview: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. Reagan Raiders

Mount Tabor is 0-10 against Reagan since March of 2016 but things could change on Friday. Mount Tabor will welcome Reagan at 6:00 p.m. Mount Tabor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Mount Tabor took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Grimsley get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Mount Tabor got a massive performance out of Jenna Catania, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Catania also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Piper Cox, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Reagan faced High Point Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Reagan walked away with a 5-1 victory over High Point Christian Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Reagan's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Mount Tabor, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.
