Game recap: El Camino loses to Olympian

El Camino (Oceanside, Calif.) was defeated by Olympian (Chula Vista, Calif.), 40-20.

The Eagles were up 27-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Christopher Humphery to Sergio Bailey in the second quarter.

Olympian expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. OHS's lone score in the quarter came on a Andrell Snowden touchdown run.

Bailey stood out for the Chula Vista school in the win. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown.



The defeat comes as a step back for El Camino, which notched a 34-16 victory over Mira Mesa in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Wildcats' 2-game winning streak. With the win the Eagles extended their winning streak to three games.

Olympian (3-0) will play a non-conference game against Lincoln next week, while El Camino (2-1) will take on Ramona also in a non-conference game.
