Basketball Recap: Kali O'rourke's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Springfield over Pine

Springfield was the 63-40 winner over Pine when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Springfield Bulldogs lost 53-29 to the Pine Raiders on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kali O'Rourke, who posted six points along with nine boards and four blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks. Nickaiya Martin was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Pine, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Springfield has already played their next game, a 53-40 loss against Albany on the 13th. As for Pine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-39 win against Hammond on the 14th.
