Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Takes a Loss

Cornerstone Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Prairie View Academy Spartans 65-33. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.

Prairie View Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tollan Wallace led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Abram Anthony was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 16 rebounds.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Prairie View Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11.

Cornerstone Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prairie View Academy, they will head out to challenge Porter's Chapel Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Prairie View Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
