Baseball Game Preview: Grand Oaks Grizzlies vs. Bridgeland Bears

The Grand Oaks Grizzlies and the Bridgeland Bears will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle.

While Grand Oaks' win against Waller wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Grand Oaks won by a run and slipped past Waller 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Grizzlies have posted since March 26, 2024.

Braeden Sanches spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Grand Oaks saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callum Wilson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that Wilson got this season. Andrew Clayton was another, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Bridgeland and Klein Oak finished up their match with a 3-3 draw on Thursday.

Grand Oaks' win bumped their record up to 6-4. With that draw, Bridgeland's record moves to 8-3-1.
