Basketball Game Preview: Holy Cross Indians vs. Simon Kenton Pioneers

The Holy Cross Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Simon Kenton Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Holy Cross is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Winton Woods just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 58-46 to the Warriors. The loss was the Indians' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Simon Kenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Covington Catholic.

Having lost for the first time this season, Holy Cross fell to 3-1. As for Simon Kenton, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Holy Cross couldn't quite finish off Simon Kenton in their previous meeting back in January of 2020 and fell 79-77. Can Holy Cross avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
