The Bishop Rosecrans Bishops will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Newark Catholic Green Wave at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop Rosecrans is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Bishop Rosecrans has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 28 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 76-44 win over Catholic Central on the road.
Grady Labishak was his usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with eight assists. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Bernath, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Newark Catholic, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They lost to New Hope Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 72-56 margin last Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bishop Rosecrans is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Newark Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
