Softball Recap: Sipsey Valley Takes a Loss

Sipsey Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cordova Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 5-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jules Lindsey was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Sipsey Valley now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Cordova, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Sipsey Valley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Blocton at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. Cordova has already played their next matchup (against Northside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
