Viewmont faced Farmington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Vikings won by a  set and slipped past the Phoenix  3-2. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Phoenix  on March 4th, they had to take a  3-2  loss.
 Carson Tovey paced Viewmont's offense, picking up 23 kills. Tovey got some help from  Dallin Lether and his 45 assists.  Thomas MacKay and  Jackson Veigel kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
 Farmington's loss  came despite strong showings from  Charlie Evans and  Pearce Eliason.  Evans  had eight  digs and two  aces, while  Eliason  had 18  kills, 11  digs, two  aces,  and one  block. Eliason is  crushing it when it comes to  kills: he's   had at least ten every time he's  taken the court this season.
Viewmont's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Farmington,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-3.
 Viewmont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  3-0  win against Mountain View on the 22nd. As for Farmington, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  3-2  victory against Brighton on the 22nd.
