Middle Park extends home winning streak to 11

The Middle Park Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They really took it to Platte Canyon for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-32 victory at home. Middle Park has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 27 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Joey Gagnon, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Trail, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Middle Park pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Platte Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middle Park will take on Vail Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Vail Mountain is ranked 162nd, while Middle Park is ranked 169th). As for Platte Canyon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP Denver Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. KIPP Denver Collegiate is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
