Softball Recap: Bolton Triumphs

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Bolton came out on top against Stafford by a score of 9-6. Bolton hasn't had any issues with Stafford recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Abbie Gravel spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Natalie Connelly was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Walsh, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Bolton's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Stafford, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bolton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hale Ray at 3:45 p.m. on the 19th. As for Stafford, they will head out to square off against Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
