Regents piles up the points against Second Baptist

Recap: Regents Knights vs. Second Baptist Eagles

With a playoff game on the line, the Regents Knights rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eagles 34-7 on the road. Regents' victory was all the more impressive since Second Baptist was averaging only 14.31 points allowed on the season.

Regents was led to victory by Quinn Murphy and Hudson Powell. Murphy threw for 215 yards and three touchdowns, while Powell picked up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Powell's longest reception was for an incredible 97 yards.

Regents' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. In that department, Wyatt Blazek was the leader with three sacks.

Regents pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Second Baptist, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

Regents will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Liberty Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Second Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
