It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pacifica had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-24 victory over the Chino Hills Huskies. The win was just business as usual for the Tritons, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.

Pacifica got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Lee out in front who threw for 223 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of his passes. The Tritons' leading receiver Anthony Jacobs Jr was Lee's top target yet again, picking up 95 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Pacifica's run defense was locked in: Chino Hills could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. While two picked up at least 17 total tackles, Isaiah Phelps stood above the rest. He forced one fumble and made 17 total tackles (2.0 for loss). Pacifica didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.1.

When it comes to explaining why Chino Hills lost, don't look at Alex Medyn. Despite the final result, he threw for 360 yards and one touchdown while completing 74.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards and a pair of TDs. A healthy portion of Medyn's aerial production (144 yards to be exact) went to Calum Ferrell.

Pacifica's record is now 13-0. As for Chino Hills, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Pacifica wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 20-10 win against Palos Verdes on the 28th. Chino Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
