If Centennial was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Everman on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Joshua Owls on Friday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16.

Lauren Seeton paced Centennial's offense, picking up 17 kills. Seeton got some help from Channing Ward and her 22 assists. Ward was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Joshua's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madilyn Lacey, who had 27 digs. That's the most digs Lacey has posted since back in September. Ruby Vincent was another key player, getting 12 digs and two aces.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 29-12. As for Joshua, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-9.
