Basketball Game Preview: Lauderdale County Tigers vs. Deshler Tigers

Lauderdale County hasn't had much luck against Deshler recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lauderdale County Tigers will face off against the Deshler Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Lauderdale County will head into Tuesday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They lost 59-34 to Brooks. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Lions are ranked 87th).

Meanwhile, Deshler came up short against Red Bay on Saturday and fell 83-75.

Lauderdale County's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Deshler, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Lauderdale County came up short against Deshler in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 70-66. Can Lauderdale County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
