            Softball Preview: Manheim Central Barons vs. Red Land Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            The Manheim Central Barons will head out on the road to  square off against  the Red Land Patriots  at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Manheim Central's pitching crew heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  an  11-0 margin over Palmyra. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Barons.
 Riley Hostetter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Hostetter was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Manheim Central got a  massive  performance out of  Abby Logan, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.  Emily Roeting was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Manheim Central was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .435. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmyra only posted a  batting average of  .000.
 Meanwhile, Red Land had to endure  a  four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by  a  13-3 margin over Central York on Monday.
 The  victory  got Manheim Central back to even at 2-2. As for Red Land,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
