St. James took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Iberia, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Rangers 4-3. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Jesse Hudson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Hunter Freeman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

St. James' win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Iberia, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. James will head out to face off against Hermann at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Iberia, they will venture away from home to take on Laquey at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
