It was close, but on Monday the East Prairie Eagles sidestepped the East Carter Redbirds for a 6-5 victory.

East Prairie has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for East Carter, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7.

East Prairie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Bernie on the 6th. As for East Carter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Doniphan on the 6th.
