The Thunderbolts took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Islanders. Thunderbolts fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Islanders since on Wednesday.

Pius X got a good showing from Lucas Newton, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Pius X has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Grand Island, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
