Football Game Preview: Eagle Mountain Knights vs. Bridgeport Bulls

Two dominant wideouts in TERRY STARKS and Dylan Hunter are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Eagle Mountain Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Bridgeport Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33.9 points per game this season.

Eagle Mountain will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 13 points last Friday, then bounced right back against Burkburnett on Friday. The Knights strolled past the Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 38-23. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 754th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

BRYCEN VINDIOLA had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 118 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 74 yards and one TD. Those 118 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Eagle Mountain was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 408 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Another reason for the win was Eagle Mountain's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Leading the way was Justin Fox with two.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 56-0 defeat at the hands of Graham. The game marked the first time this season in which the Bulls were not able to get on the board.

Eagle Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.6 points over those games. As for Bridgeport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Eagle Mountain came up short against Bridgeport in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 16-10. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
