Basketball Recap: Webster County Comes Up Short

Webster County came up into this matchup off a tough 29-point loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs by a score of 52-50 on Monday. The Highlanders' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Tygarts Valley was led to victory by Kaden Moore and Jacob Wamsley. Moore went 7 of 8 en route to 20 points and five boards, while Wamsley went 5 for 11 to rack up 13 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Parker Bell, who posted 11 points.

Webster County's record is now 5-11. As for Tygarts Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Webster County will venture away from home to face off against Gilmer County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tygarts Valley, they will be playing at home against Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
