Basketball Recap: Thomas Heyward Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Beaufort Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thomas Heyward Academy). They managed a 67-63 win over the Beaufort Academy Eagles on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-47 back in January.

Despite the loss, Beaufort Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jace Paulk went 8-for-10 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance also gave Paulk a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). Another player making a difference was Nycholas Underwood, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 10 points.

Thomas Heyward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Beaufort Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
